Happy Easter.. Happy Birthday!

Here's our Easter picture! We take one every year with our camera, mostly because we are too poor to pay someone. I plan to alter it and fill in a new background with PhotoShop. That should be fun. The day was a great day of family and candy. Yum!

Ezra's Birthday was March 22nd (the day before Easter), so we had a little family & friend gathering to eat pizza, candy, and cake as well as color eggs. It was alot of fun.

Ezra still sucks his thumb whenever he's tired or sleeping and has grown quite attached to this vintage blanket that was made by my grandma Lois for my older brother Justin. The date on it is 1976. It is still in great shape!


Birthday boy! He was so tired by the time we had this family dinner at a local Japanese restaurant that he wasn't as happy as we'd hoped. :)

California

Well, we went to California this past weekend and it was one of our favorite vacations we have ever had as a family! Despite our fears about driving there, it actually didn't turn out so bad. We split up the trip and stayed overnight in St. George with family on the way down and then spent 3 days with Grandpa Lundahl. We mostly just hung out and talked, but we also were able to go to Sea World (a first for all 4 of us) and the kids really enjoyed that. Ezra and Grandpa Lundahl bonded a lot on this trip--it was very sweet to watch the glow that eminated from both of them when they were together. I think Ezra misses Grandpa already. We hope to make many more trips down there from here on out...

The Major Update

Ezra got his last cast off in early December after 3 1/2 months of weekly casts. He has been such a good boy about it all. I admire his long-suffering. Here he is holding his last cast after they took it off. They had to take the pin out of his foot that was in there from his surgery in late October so he has a bandage on.
This is his nurse that we got to know pretty well. Nice lady.








I went snow boarding for the first time the day after Christmas. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back now that the bruises on my bum have finally healed (it took 3 weeks).
I dare say that this is one of my favorite hair-do's on Eliza. The bigger the better I always say... :)










Little Ezra LOVES, I repeat, LOVES bath time now that he can take a bath again. He and Eliza take baths together quite often and just have a bawl splashing around.



There is more to come... We hope to go to California this coming weekend so I will take some pictures and post them next week.

I am alive

Okay, I am alive--I have just been that cliche saying: Busy. Honest. I am so sorry I haven't blogged in forever. I will be back in here to put up pictures and things for everyone to see from Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hawaii, Christmas, New Years... A lot happens in 3 months huh? :) There's a lot to say, but let it be known that the Lundahl Family is doing really well and excited for a tremendous and life-changing year in 2008!!!!!

A Soldier and a Princess

Ezra had surgery last Thursday and this picture was taken just hours afterwards. It was an outpatient surgery thank goodness and only took about 45 minutes to complete. We stayed in the hospital for about an hour after that while Ezra was "coming around" from being knocked out with general anesthesia. He cried more that day than any day since he was born. Really. It was so sad. But, with a little Loritab he's been good. In fact, he has been such a little soldier that he still smiles and giggles when I play with him no matter how much it hurts. Sigh. I wish I could be as happy after surgery as he is.




And here is my princess. She honestly thinks she is a princess. We just got pictures done of her and Ezra and our friend Lyndsay came over and asked Eliza who was in the picture and she said "Brother and Princess". LOL. This picture is of her in her latest princess dress (every dress is a princess dress). She has the broom because she identifies that with Cinderella--her favorite princess.
